Building my first four-wheel-drive trail rig was an exciting experience, but one that also came with many confusing challenges. Perhaps the most difficult was when it came to creating the roll cage for my truck. I worked closely with a local industrial metal shop to fabricate a cage from heavy-duty steel tubing. From measurement and design to the actual bending, fabrication, and welding, the entire process was amazing. I created this site to share what I learned in the hopes that it will help others see how they can turn their favorite four-wheel-drive into a trail-capable toy with the right help.
